Just like the title says. I'm trying to get an idea about piecing together my own turbo kit and that's a component I'm missing.

don't. you need a inline booster pump, like the accell "raped pig" one that comes with the hahn kit. for 5 psi of boost, you might be able to get away with using just the walbro 255 hi-pressure, but to be safe i'd get both.

the "raped pig" one is REALLY loud, it gets annoying especially at idle. with more fuel pressure (around 10" of vacuum and above, even through boost) it starts to get a much lower pitch and gets noticably quieter. i've heard from lots of people that it's this loud because it's trying to make up for our crappy (well, not crappy, more like not good enough for turbo usage) stock fuel pump by pumping like mad. if you add a nice walbro (190 or 255, both i aren't very loud) with that setup you'll have a much quieter setup. anyways, good luck. i'm done now.

EDIT: forgot to address your rising rate issue. dsmlights doesn't know what he's talking about. you'll need the 12:1 disc if you plan on running stock injectors with the S-FMU. i believe that it comes it with the 12:1 disc already installed, but don't quote me on that.

the s-fmu come with 2.72, 3.62 disks and springs. I dont remember the other disk but the point is that the s-fmu is not 12:1, 8:1 and stuff like that what you are talking about is the regular fmu. hope this help.

Yeah the 2.72, 3.62 etc. are the sizes of the disc which are different rise rates, such as 12:1, 8:1, etc.

Buy your fuel setup last IMO. I started with just a 12:1 fmu, stock injectors, and a walbro fuel pump. Then decided to go S-FMU, 30lb injectors, and accel in-line. Ok I can't list all the systems I have bought/sold but now I'm wanting to get that 8 injector setup. It's pretty cool. The other 4 injectors are totally out of hand of the stock ecu and uses a 3 bar map sensor.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA umm-

> suck big disk because you can

Anyways, I'll give a gold star to anyone who can compile a list of what disk and spring corresponds to what rise rate for what Vortech.

ie:
SFMU - 8" disk - brown spring - 23:1 rise
etc etc
