#37010, "Turbo PT Cruizer FMIC price"

Was at the dealership today to order some parts. Got curious so I priced out a few items. The 2003 PT Cruizer Front Mount Intercooler part # is 5096198AA and they sell for $445 brand new. I'm not sure about the size but it looks pretty nice for a small FMIC. I'm not sure about the in and out locations on the intercooler itself. I tried to peek and feel but's to damn compact under/in there. Also I priced a brand spanking new T-25 turbo, $1575!!!!! He asked if I wanted 2!! hehe just pass'n on some info I found interesting.

or for $500 you can just send your 16g to hahn and have them convert it to a 20g. i'm thinking about doing that myself this summer. would be neat to have a top end like the t3/t4 guys.

EDIT: almost forgot... $450ish sounds pretty good for a brand new, satanic price for a FMIC. i figured they'd charge you like $900+ just because they're satan. i wonder how big the thing is...

it's probably not to big. think about all the stock intercoolers.yeah some of them are big but they were on stuff like trucks or maybe even a supra. but on a PT?

edit: k,...guess i was wrong, didn't know they were the same IC. still you could probably find one for the same price a little bigger.

thats good to hear, I think that once I get my kit I will get that IC, it is the same IC that is on the SRT4 (so its a pretty good size) and I should be able to get a discounted price on it.

once again the neon buys beat us to it and the cheapest price is once again forum dodge and bob kise's crew,

http://www.neons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=72027

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

Does anyone have a pic of just the intercooler? The neon board says it's $310 from Bob Kise. That's an awesome price!!!

Does that include the end tanks, or is that just the intercooler core itself??

Not Mopar's IC, but here's HRC's PT FMIC... should give you a general idea of the fitment, as it's a direct replacement as far as I know...

yeh the SRT4's intercooler is pretty meaty, 300 bux for it I'd say that worth it if it doesnt' cost a lot to put on.
