#36841, "Who's running a T-25?"

Just wondering who else was running a T-25 other than RxR_Eclipse.

How do you like the set-up? I mean if your only going to run 5-8psi why get a 16g right?

any feedback would be appreciated.

That was kinda my mentality for using it. A T25 is good for at least 10lbs strong.
As far as I know I am the only one who is using one on the 420A currently. I think there are a couple of peeps in the process of doing it.

Wow, So how do you like it? What RPM do you hit full boost? What are you using for boost control?

when i rode in rxrs car he was boosting about psi close to 3krpms because his waste gate mod keeps the flapper open a little bit instead of fully closed,

i love the way his car pulls when it gets in boost was the first turbo car id ridden in and it was cool,

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

It pulls nice just like any car turbo car will. Motofool is right, my turbo now spools @ about 3K. The only thing I am using for boost control is my modded wastegate actuator. I am sure when I get my built internals and I put her @ 10lbs it will spool fully @ about 23-2500 rpm. I know this cause I have acidentally done it. emoji

the wastegate actuator of the t-25 is set to 10 or 11 psi? How much psi you are running RxR_Eclipse?

the wastegate actator for rxrs turbo came set to about 10-11psi, but since he has stock internals he modded the waste gate arm to make it so he boost about 5-6psi only,

there is another waste gate mod u can do that is superior and lets u adjust the spring in the wastegate i believe and that is a much better route to take,

If I recall right babybeclipse you're an auto right? If so than the t25 would be a good choice of a turbo seeing how it would barely have any lag time. I think Tommyboy was the first person to use a T-25 and I followed in his footsteps shortly after. It gives our slushbox of a tranny some pep but I would recommend getting a tranny cooler. In my eclipse, boost was almost instantaneous with the t-25 but now in my GSR I have an 18g and talk about laggy, anyhow, good luck

Yup, I'm auto. Thanks for the help.

Meet Da X- I would go s16g but...why? I only plan on runnin 5-8psi. I don't need a 16g for that. I have someone giving me a good deal on the t-25 but I might be interested in yours. How many miles are on it?

It is a better route to take cause it allows you to lower the minimum boost while keeping the wastegate shut so you can spool as quickly as possible. Here's the link : http://www.denverspeed.com/wastegates.html

yeah thats a good mode but this mode cant be used on a t-25 because the wastegate actuator isnt straight all the way.

I am sure that you can get a better mod to work with the T25 wastegate. I was almost going to take a external WG route. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hmm I was just lookin at this pic. And I think that if you bent the copper looking bracket out, then bent the arm stright, then you could do it... I will still have to cut the arm cause by bending it out it makes it way to long. I may just buy another wastegate from dsmtrader and see what I can do about it.

Or it might just be easier to buy a 3-5lb wastegate actuator and fit it to the turbo.

Or whatever just some thoughts.

Trust me, you wont want to emoji Boost is an addiction, you always want more. 8 psi will get boring eventually. I'm already there with less than a year...hehe.. But if you have the willpower and mindset to stay at 8 psi, then the T-25 will be nice, esp off the line. Those things spool like mad. Driving a GSX, i couldnt even tell when the boost kicked in, it was that smoothe. I still say go with the S16G though...more boost!!

Well, I'm a collage student. That alone should tell you how broke I usually am. I just don't want to spike to 10psi and need a rebuild. Thats what I mean by turning DOWN the boost.
