i got my hallman es mbc in the mail today, and i was wondering if the boost controller is "set to zero," so to speak. meaning, if i install it right now, will i still only see 5 psi? or do i need to adjust it all the way up (unscrew it all the way). i looked on the instructions to see if they are all "set to zero" from the manufacturer, but it doesnt say anything. tia.

They probably all come set different, id just back it out a good ways and work your way in until you see boost start increasing, then back it out a half a turn from there and tighten it up.

i think mine was screwed in almost all the way. i just unscrewed it to the very edge and then slowly brought it until i started seening a better response. definately helped with the turbo spool a little. anyways, back to the lan party

Yep i got the Hallman MBC, and to set it for no more boost than the wastegagte, just turn it OUT just so you have just enough threads in it, then tighten the lock nut down. Then start out doing some WOT runs, then turn IN the controller about 1/4 turn at a time. My controller is pretty sensitive, and takes some playin with to get it just right where you want it.
