ehh...check my other messages for some other info. There is a lot to look for in an engine management system. You wanna go all out, get the MOTEC, but it runs like 4000 bones. The haltech is probably the second nicest, and others go on from down there. Wolf3d, PMS, electromotive.
Honestly, if you want to go fast, getting the hahn setup will probably be the easiest for any of us, cus they have already done it. I for some reason felt like being the first to go this route, and hopefully it will pay off, because it will leave a new option for everyone else with one of these cars in turbo form.
as far as crank angle sensors, yeah, that is the big problem i am running into, but the haltech has an internal reluctor adapter that can use many different types of CAS. It requires a lot of wiring, a lot of ingenuity, but in the end, any kind of complete control over your engine is worth it. Boost control is rock solid, full throttle upshifts, complete fuel and ignition maps, datalogging, shift lights, NOS control, etc. There are tons of things to play with it. Now only if it kept my car clean too .... hmmmmmm
