Has anyone messed with the fuel map in the software? My car seams to go rich and then lean at certain rpms. I was wondering if any one had messed with the fuel map in the EIC software. Can we edit this map? It seams like it would be a good tuning tool.

Well, I'm not Corbin, but I use his bad ass 8inj setup. I've altered the fuel map plenty, especially when I dynoed the car. It made a huge difference for me(just remember to stay in "Cont" Mode and not "Trig" otherwise the Rpm signal is disabled and only the Map sensor is used) I did not know this at first, I thought I had a rpm signal problem. Most of the adjustments I did were to the Inj. scaler, then altering all of those 1.00's in the fuel map for fine tuning. I haven't messed with it lately, due to the weather and deer hunting season(those bastards are on the move and I don't want to hit one). If you can, use a dyno to get close then go from there on your own. Unless your super rich and have your own personal dyno(for your 600hp Viper GTS + 300nos/propane shot) like the guy who rented me his. Then just dyno all day lon

I've never had trouble with running rich/lean at certain RPMs, so I never played with the matrix. I DID have trouble with running rich right at 0 psi where the secondaries kick in. I had to set my fuel pressure to actually make me a little (5%) lean right before the secondaries kick in. I no longer have any problems at that point.
Now the "continuous" vs "triggered" just sets how the injectors fire according to RPM signal. It shouldn't disable anything. If you used both injector drivers (2 injectors on each driver), triggered will fire the drivers sequentially. Then continuous would fire both drivers at the same time (skipping one RPM signal). The net effect should be the same. If you only used one driver, setting it to "triggered" could have undesirable effects.

I've been thinking about going with the 8 injector setup, but I have one question. I'm pretty sure the Supplementary Injector ECU from http://www.034efi.com has no way of adjusting the fuel as the air tempature changes (in boost) there for running lean in cold conditions. Corbin please clarify this and what can be done if anything in this situtaion?

I haven't seen any sort of extra injector controller offer any sort of temperature changing adjustment.
You have two choices. Either adjust for the temp change by merely upping the injector scaler a few tenths of a point on the appropriate screen(it's only one query box), OR allow your own primary injectors to accomodate the temp change through its own stock adjutstment, if your system is tuned that accutely.

100% agree
Now if you REALLY wanted temperature correction on you secondary injectors, there are ways to do this. You can build a simple adjustable divider circuit using a thermistor and potentiometer to modify the EIC's MAP output. This would involve opening up the EIC and re-wiring its MAP sensor (Motorola MPX4250AP I think). Kind of like a single point S-AFC modifying MAP based on intake temperature. I, personally, don't think the effort is worth the result.

I would like to play with my map a little. Tune the car some.I just don't know how much is too much. All of the values are 1.00. I'm not sure what to change them too. Should I just start with 1.1 and go from there?
