I was wondering if using the afc, we can richen or lean out part throttle driving. it seems like if i make changes with the afc the ecu just compensates by modifying LTFT and STFT and if i max out LTFT, i get a check engine light. does using the afc do anything for our part throttle driving. it would appear that it would kind of shift the range at where the 02 cycles back and forth, but i have not seen any evidence of this.

The S-AFC only modifies MAP input to the ECU. Its an indirect method of tuning. At low and part throttle, the ECU really only listens to the O2 sensor for fueling and cares little about what MAP input you are giving it. If you want to make changes to fueling under part throttle conditions, you HAVE to modify the O2 input to the ECU. I'm not quite sure how to easily do this (I don't know if you just have to change the amplitude of the signal or frequency).
