#35117, "What should I do?"

Ok guys, I am trying to order the rest of my parts so i can get my kit on. I just bought a walbro 255hp pump, now i hear just the walbro itself will not be sufficient. Someone mentioned I would need the inline pump and/or something about bigger injectors. I eventually want to run higher boost and do a rebuild so would just getting bigger injectors be the way to go? If so what size should I get? I want to get an safc as well if that makes a diff. Would i still need an inlinepump even with the injectors? Ok so i have a t3/t4 turbo stage 1 kit and am going to order the sfmu. All help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU

who said the pump alone wouldnt be sufficient? i think the pump and sfmu with stock injectors should be fine for stage 1 / stage2.

KTECLIPSE said it in that thread. So I should be ok with just the walbro? I hope so. Thanks for the input.

Don't worry until you get an intercooler and you start to raise the boost. You'll be fine with the wahlbro for now. That pump comes as an upgrade in the star kit for a reason. I have talked to many people using this setup without any problems. Is it better to run both, maybe....Is it nessessary at your current stage....IMO no.

If you run 10psi then you will need well over 100psi fuel pressure. Assuming you get 275 crank HP you'll need 24gph of fuel. The Walbro alone won't support that at over 100psi fuel pressure. I'd stay at 7psi or below if you are using stock injectors and just the Walbro. That's assuming that it's the high pressure Walbro and not the low pressure. If it's the low pressure it's going to be way worse.

Well you don't have an intercooler and I believe with out that you shouldn't go above 5psi or so.

the star kit comes with the walbro hp fuel pump and an fmu. no inline pump or larger injectors. wouldnt this mean that you could run sufficient fuel pressures up till stage II at least (8psi) on stock injectors ?

I sure hope its the high pressure pump. I had doubts and called howell and they said that is was the high pressure pump. Well that is good. Thanks to all who replied so now i can sleep better. I will eventually get bigger injectors and a front mount.
