i had the weird fluttering sound once also. I took bov off and the vaccum lines and reattached it and it sounded normal agian. it might be seated on the flange wierd. only thing i can think of.

is it leaking where the line goes to the fpr or in the fpr? try adding a second clamp if its leaking where the line attaches to the fpr

No prob man. It was fun. It did take a while, but it was worth it.

That's a great idea about double clamping the fuel lines. Is it only on the FPR side? I hope so , cause the fuel rail and return line are a bitch to get to.

haha similar experience to mine. It took me 4 days of on and off work on the car until it finally got running. Then when I came home from school I smelled gas and a lot of it. So I pulled over and I open my hood BAM there's a geyser of fuel sprayin out of my engine bay. I thought damn it's gonna catch on FIRE! Found out that one of the hoses I used for the fuel line got a hole somehow, it wasn't even a real fuel hose, so I run home and take my parents van to kragens and get some fuel hoses and patch it up.

about the BOV make sure it's seated to the flange properly. It's either that or your not making much boost so it flutters.

my bov fluttered also.. there are two things you can do.
firstly route the vacuum line from the bov directly to the intake mani, don't T it off any other lines, you want it to get as strong a signal as you can.

And if you have the star kit, try removing the metal pipe between the compressor and the air filter (put the filter directly on the compressor) don't ask my why, but it took the fluttering out of my bov. it worked for Dino also...

Try those two and let us know.

yeap.. Longer path to the filter creates more vaccuum on the compressor inlet side, causing it to draw air both through the filter and compressor to equalize, which causes compressor backspin, which is what you hear. Real high pitched turkey gobble..

Hardest part for me was getting those damn rusted bolts off the cat so I could saw it and attach the gayest downpipe i've ever seen. It works though. I can't complain.

well, before i had the turbo off i was running 120 psi of fuel of the fpr. I was actually having problems lowering the fuel pressure. Are you sure the fuel pump is hooked up right? When i first did my instal i didn't have a good connection and i couldn't get the fuel pressure about 80 psi either. then i re-did the connectons and it went up. Does the fuel pump sound like an airplane? if it doesn't then it might not be hooked up right.

How much amperage should that pump be circuited for. We put that pump on it's own relay which was rated at 15 amps, so right now it's on a 15 amp circuit. I'm not sure if thats enough. Is that enough? Also, what gauge wire should be used? It did seem pretty loud when it was running.
