#3497, "Heat Question..."

Ok, I have the HRC stage 1 on order and hopefully shipping right now. I have a question about long distance driving though...
Does the fact that there is no intercooler cause problems on long distance trips? I know the exhaust manifold and turbo get really hot, and that doesn't help the fact that there is no IC to cool the air. On longer trips, would the intake piping (from the turbo to the TB) get really hot and possibly cause problems? hot air= more likely to detonate.
Hopefully this summer will be able to get a IC, but until then I have to make several 6 hour trips. (including MD-Ohio in July emoji)

Thanks

-Jeff
