Okay Ive got the HRC stage II kit and im still having some problems with it. The car will not idle right. I have the fuel pressure set right about 54 psi. The rpms just bounce a little and you can feel the car kinda shaking. The exhaust sounds like its puttering. When I try to easily accelerate it goes no where. Also I have to work the clutch and gas so it doesnt stall, and every once in a while it will just stall. When I floor it it seems to work better, when I can get it to go since it always wants to stall, the fuel pressure rises up to 110 psi around 7 psi of boost. Ive checked everything that I can think of. All the vacum lines, fuel line connections, i/c piping. Tuning of the fuel system is pretty easy, just set it to 50-55 psi and it should idle and then adjust for under boost. Does anyone know what this could be, Im thinking its something not involving the turbosystem, and ideas Im lost as to what to do. And also Ive taken it to a couple shops and they can never get it tuned right. Thanks for the help guys

Have you checked the stupid small things? Plugs, Plug Wires, Plug gap (if applicable), intake leaks, etc? I know I had a mazda truck that was doing exactly what you're talking about and it ended up being the entire ignition system basically. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. I replaced all this and issue resolved. Hard to say because so many things can cause this, but even if you just replaced plugs, wires, etc you might check it. Also if the plugs need to be gapped make sure you have them gapped right etc...

Yeah I checked all those little things also, I changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter. It idles fine when I first start it and not moving, but then when I start to drive it is when the problems are noticed. Ive got a little of 30k and i recently had the 30k inspection done before i put the turbo on. Dave

No i had it working for awhile and then I left for school and the car wasnt driven that much, once or twice a week it wasnt just sitting around, now ive got my car but this started to happen. As for the fuel pressure, I have an auto meter fuel pressure guage hooked up and the pressure stays constant when it is idling and steadily cimbs under boost like its suppossed to. I never drops off or anything. When it stalls it just cuts out like turning the car off, theres no drop in fuel pressure before it stalls. thanks for the help

im not that great with the fuel system, but i do think it might be your ignition. It sounds like i have the exact same thing happening to mine with the excepting of fuel pressure, i wouldnt know. To solve my problem, i think i have to change my ignition coil. that should do it.
