so yeah, i'm getting custom piping today for my 1g SMIC. my dad took it to my favorite mechanic on his way to work today, because i'm at college so i won't be able to poke it until tomorrow. right now i'm running about 5-6 psi, with about 95 psi of fuel at full boost on stock injectors and stock internals. this weekend i really want to turn up the boost to around 8 psi, is there anything special that i need to do? i'm going to do a pressure check with the crazy air compressor thingy to make sure i don't have any boost leaks, is there anything else that i should be doing before i turn the boost up? anyways, i'm done now.

About your sig.. Your piper archer that is... Tomarrow I leave for comdex in my companies Citation X you wanna race that?? Or my grandpa has a Lance Air 4p, that is converted to Turbo Prop.... I'll even be able to be flying that and race you! I am a fan of flying too, just don't have the funds to go past my twin engine rating.. So I got some time on my uncles Baron, that was a blast...
Sorry totally off topic... Just never noticed your sig before...
as for your post.. To turn up the boost after you install your IC, just hook up your boost controller and only go up to about 8lbs to the manifold. Nothing extra is needed, if i read your post right.

citation x? insane... it's cool that i've found another pilot on the forum. i got my private on march 15th, i want to start my instrument rating pretty soon. i don't have any twin engine time, only single engine land. it would be insane to fly a twin sometime

I wouldn't call myself a pilot anymore, Last time I flew was in my uncle's barron over a year ago.... I love to do it, just so damn expinsive for that 100LL, And when we fly my grandpa's lance air, talk about $2.75/gal, and that was when i worked at an FBO lol!!

To up the boost, you need to increase the WOT fuel pressure (if you have the HRC adj. FPR). For 8 psi, set the WOT fuel pressure to 110 psi, if you still have the stock size injectors. That should be it. Happy boosting
