#34485, "Cylinders 2&3 richer than 1&2???"

Ok I pulled the plugs real quick to do a compression test and noticed plugs 2 and 3 looked darker (more carbon) than 1 and 4. Any ideas on this???

TIA
Brain

you noticed any roughness while driving? id also make sure your plug gaps are uniform. since both the rich cylinders are firing off the same coil, it "could" be your coil pack going out. happened to me too.

>you noticed any roughness while driving?

Yep, partial throttle, low boost 2-10psi. WOT full boost 18-20psi car runs normal and strong.

Problem is that in most cases it is caused by the DFI so if it was due to the coil going out it would be harder to pinpoint.

But w/ the plugs looking the way they do I will probably throw some new wires and a coil pack seeing how they aren’t all that much cash

>id also make sure your plug gaps are uniform.

Yep, .30

>since both the rich cylinders are firing off the same coil, >it "could" be your coil pack going out. happened to me too.

Makes sense seeing how it is the original one.

Thanks a million
Brian
