Run a line from the wastegate to the back of the intake manifold, so it opens when boosted air in the manifold reaches at 5 psi, instead of opening at 5 psi BEFORE the intercooler resulting in pressure drop when it hits the manifold. I've heard 2 different versions. One is no, because it's an internal wastegate. My friend said yes because a wastegate is a wastegate. This was also confirmed by Fast420A when he read about it on the turbo bible, Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.

gets my vote too. i've done this "mod" or "hack" as well, you just need to find a nifty little thing to plug up the barb on the compressor housing. automatically compensates boost levels if you have little boost leaks, too.

I did this too, mostly because i was sick and tired of my boost fade problem at high rpm's. I have a decent leak at the TB throttle plate shaft, which leakes boost pressure. So i capped off the barb on the compressor housing, then put a "T" in the brake booster vac line. Then i fed the vac/boost line from that T into the boost controller, then out the boost contorller into the wastgate. Works excellent, no more fade, and very little spike. I recomend everyone do this, as its a much more accurate pressure reading when its coming from the intake mani instead of the compressor outlet.
