First and foremost, just wanna thanks Kyle (Fast420A) for doing the setup.

Second, what would an intercooler install be without 1st doing 'The Tribute'

Onward to the pics:

Stock stage 1 setup piping

Lower IC piping (from Armond)

Modded upper IC piping, how stock stage 1 looked (ignore couplers)

Then the 1G SMIC

SMIC location

Had to cut this on the SMIC, to make the coupling sleeve easier to slide in and more airflow (You don't want a partly bent pipe inside the coupler.....wind resistance)

Full piping layout (as close resemblance when it's finish), minus the small 1 foot pipe from the lower half of the upper IC piping and the tight 90 degree coupler

In the engine bay pics:
From compressor outlet

Downward to the SMIC

To SMIC

BOV

The upper half of the upper piping

To TB

Here's one last pic minus the lower half of the upper piping (1 foot steel pipe and tight 90 degree radiator hose, used as coupler)

We didn't get a chance to take a pic of the FULL complete layeout cuz the digicam battery died. I'll post more pics of the complete setup later.

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

Small as it maybe, but we once we datalogged it, it roughly yield almost the same numbers as my friend's Star FMIC. Under boost in a warm afternoon, my intake temps. where like 127 degrees. When my friend had his Star 96 GS with FMIC datalogged, it was about 117 or so AND that test was done in the night.

Is this how the IC is set in the front bumper? If so, to me it looks like its tilted pretty good there. That isnt going to get very good airflow over the IC, IMO. It really needs to be more straight up and down if possible. Air needs to come directly in through the IC then out of it as evenly as possible for good IC efficiency. Other than that, it looks great.

It's not at that much of an angle now, that was during the fitting. It's almost straight up and down and is set back about 6 inchs from the bumper vent. We have some sheet metal to make some ducting for it too.

excellent emoji If you need an idea of what to use as ducting, I used aluminum roofing flashing that came in a roll. Its cheap, and plentiful, and worked GREAT for my car.
