I am looking into a stage 3 turbo from hahn, but got some concerns. I know the setup is real good, but is it hard to get everything tuned right b/c i live in a small town where there are no performance shops and if something gets messed i would have to drive about an hour to get it fixed. If someone knows good stuff about the stage 3, please let me know. I would appreciate any reply.

What exactly is your concern? Are concerned because there isn't a performance shop in the area to do tune/repair your car, or are you concerned about not knowing what to do and want to know if there's anyone in your area who can assist with tuning, etc?

More concerned with the fuel setup and the msd setup(timing). I am trying to research and look on these posts to learn more about it, but i guess it is something i need to know more about. I plan on getting the 440 injectors, supra TT fuel pump, S-AFC, MSD ignition, and still debating on where to get the vortech FMU(If someone can help me on deciding). Any suggestions would help me try and get my car into the low 13's and high 12's on race gas. I am getting about $7000 in January so i am trying to plan everything right ahead of time. I am also a little worried on where to get the stuff b/c i just lost $2282.75 on a stage 1C kit with BOV, boost gaug, and egt from that stupid ass, Shaun from NER. I am still trying to go through detectives and everything to get my money back, but i am tired of this crap and am more worried about setting up my car in January, buying the stage 2 and upgrading to a stage 3.

I see. It's definitely a legitimate concern. I recommend that you call HRC to speak with Bill Hahn, Jr. about the stage 3. The last time I spoke with him, they were working on "special" fuel injectors that will alleviate some tuning issues. However, if you want to take the road less traveled, i.e., custom turbo and fuel setups, then there's a few types of fuel setups that people are experimenting with. Call HRC then make your decision after that, because you'll experience more headaches when you try any custom setup (custom as in, not sticking to exactly how a turbo/fuel setup, such as the HRC kit). The truth is, if you buy the HRC turbo kit and when you deviate from or replace parts in their kit, their tech support will be of less help to you.

yah, call hrc and talk to jr. he is a good guy. last i heard about a yr ago he was working on something to control those 500cc injectors for the stage 3 setup. really all the stage 2-3 difference is a built bottom end, and fuel injectors, with something to control them, as well as a ignition. if stage 3 is not up for sale. get the stage 2 and build your motor up and get a super afc, 8 injec setup etc and a ignition..
just got to find a shop to build you the motor, and a dyno to tune.
good luck

Thanks for the help, i appreciate all of it. I think i am going to get stage 2 from hrc and rebuild the motor with je pistons, crower rods, msd ign, injectors, s-afc, and try to get good FMU. I am hoping this setup will work for me b/c i really want to get it rolling right to take these camaros, mustangs, and trans am if my car will allow it b/c money will not be a problem, just trying to learn about everything first so i know what i am doing. Thanks for the advice.
