#33316, "Anyone tried peak and hold with resistors?"

I've been searching through old posts and several people bring it up but no one responds. I'm talking about finding cheap big peak and hold injectors from a salvage yard and buying $4 in resistors to make them work. It has proven to work on many other cars but i was wondering if anyone has tried them on ours. I know this would help some of us doing the custom turbo thing.

Corbin - Whats your opinion?

thanks

Barry

working on: custom turbo kit with a TE05H from a Chrysler

For sale: APR GT-2 wing and a Nitrous Works wet kit

Also have an 89 Jeep Wrangler w/ 7 inch lift and 35x15.5 swampers. it has a built straight 6 with offenhauser intake, a holley 4-barrel and sidepipes. (and I used a talon slave cylinder when i did a tranny swap. lol)

>>>I have a set of stock 450cc turbo injectors and the resistor pack<<<

Where did you get a resistor pack? Or what does it consist of? Oh and what is the diff between peak and hold and saturated? Can't be too much if they will work w/ our cars.

The only difference is the resistance of the injector, i.e., how much voltage is required to open them. I've heard form a few people that the saturated injectors (what we have) are not the best setup for turbos, and that a peak and hold injector is much better.

The resistor pack came out of a 90's-ish Accord, and is a little metal box with a harness attached. Go junkyard hunting to find one, it'll cost about 20 bucks.

I was going to if I did not find suitable saturated injectors, but I went with the MSD 525's instead. Supras, Hondas, and 3000GT's all use resistir packs from the factory. I am sure it will work fine for you.

Yeah, my friend is running it on his full drag honda with 900cc injectors, and he said it works great.
