#3288, "HRC Stage 2"

I am not a car mechanic in anyway, but I do want to mod my 97 Eclipse RS by this summer. I want to get an idea of how much I have to save up for this makeover.

I want to get a HRC Stage 2 and use that a while before I upgrade it any higher. With a Stage 2, will I have a high boost of performance if I went with a FMIC? If so, is the FMIC on HRC website sufficient or would one from Greddy be a better choice?

In choosing a catback exhaust, I want to go with a Greddy or HKS. Do I get the one that is applicable to N/A or GXS/GT-S?

Springs and shocks, I guess, the one applicable to FWD...tokico illumina, eibach prokit... what are other good suspension upgrades, strut bar, sway bar, etc.,?

I also intend to upgrade the clutch with ClutchMasters Stage 3.

I heard of a drum to rotor conversion kit, anyone know of the kit? I want to install better calipers, maybe 3000gt's calipers if possible for the fronts.

Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

I was told that the HRC FMIC is the most sefficient FMIC made, But I don't think you will see that much of an increase in HP if you went with that, instead of thier side mount.

As for how much your going to spend, well that depends on what your getting. just do research, a lot of it, get yourself familiar with the turbo set up you wanna get, then you will find out how much your going to spend, or wanna spend.

As for your Exhaust...You want to get a Turbo exhaust, because you are going to get a turbo, and a GS-T exhaust will fit fine in your RS/GS.

As for suspension, that's up to you, I have Tokico struts, and Eibach sportline springs, with just a front strut tower bar. My ride is GREAT...I've heard that the pro-kit is more stiff then the sportline, but I have not had any experience with it, so don't take my word for it.

That cluch will be fine, that's the one I'm going to get.

If I were you, I would get the AEM big break up grade, it's only like $500 and it looks SWEET!! I'm working my way up to that too:-)

Hey, in that picture it looks like your upper radiator hose is about to explode. Is is swollen? Soft to the touch? If so, change it immediately. I used to see dozens of the swollen, heat-ruined hoses come in the shop. Eventually, they will burst.

A new development on the FMIC with the HRC Stage II through V turbosystems:

We will no longer be using the Apexi intercoolers. While they were certainly quite adequate, and one of the best on the market for Talon and Eclipse, we have decided to turn it up a notch.

The new HRC FMIC was designed in house, and will also be manufactured in our facility. Its dimensions: 24" wide, 11" tall, and 3.5" deep. It also features several new and trick design aspects, in addition to excellent performance characterisitics. All will be revealed soon on our website. It will be available for both 420A and 4G63 DSM's.

No, my upper R H is fine, it's just the picture.

And it's the FMIC that came with the Star Stage 2 kit, I think it's a Spearco? Check Wyatt's site.
