#32833, "HRC final instal"

This is my first post although I have been reading the turbo forum for a while. Anyway I have acouple of qustions concerning my kit. First, my boost guage never goes over zero psi, and I did what the hrc instructions said to do; it does however show vacum. Now when I first drove the car everything was fine but then as I picked up speed the car ran lean. I noticed a power increase a few days ago but I did not want to push it. The other day I had detonation. So now I hear it when ever I speed up. Any thoughts on the boost guage? By the way Its the stage 2 kit with the fmic. emoji

<my boost guage never goes over zero psi>

Are you boosting and the gauge just doesn't show it or are you getting no boost? If you're just not getting any boost, check the wastegate actuator arm under the passenger side of the turbo. There is a little pin coming out of the bottom of the exhaust housing, and the wastegate has an arm that fits over this pin. It likes to pop off, in which case you would get zero boost.

But then again, if your detonating you probably have boost, which would indicate to me a pressure leak near the boost gauge. Check your fittings.

Also, BE VERY CAREFUL! It sounds to me like you're not getting near enough fuel....anyone care to add thoughts? It's been a while, and I'm a little rusty.

Detonation is most likely from incorrect fuel pressure or flow.

Check your idle FP, static FP (vacuum hose disconnected from FPR w/ motor running), and boost FP at 5psi and post them here.

Open wastegate is the most likely 0 boost problem, but you could have one hell of a boost leak too. Try opening the throttle by hand a couple times and check for air coming out of anything but your bov. Could also test your gauge by blowing into the vacuum line at different points, or borrowing someone's.
