Im thinking of dodging removing the motor in this eclipse to have it bored to fit the howell JE pistons, i know a company that sells the JEs in standard size and looking to go that route, i know that the cylinder in cars get out of round, but the car only have 56k miles on it, do you guys think i could get the standard forge, or do the .20 over again ? plz reply thanx

i know u can not sure if any of the companys wil stock is u can get any weiscos forged units they are cheaper too

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

You're asking people to speculate about your situation, which is very gray.

There's no way to tell if your piston bore is out of round or definitely needs over-boring. The only way to tell is to probably pull the head and allow a machine shop specialist to give you his opinion. However, without actually being able to take a look and use some precision measuring equipment, it's impossible to tell. That's why the recommended approach is not to speculate or to take things by chance, and go with what works and is assured, and that's to over-bore.

Otherwise, you're only getting opinions and speculations....
