Hey guys ive completed the bottom end in the 99gs, and reinstall the motor, but didnt bolt up the oil pan because i didnt recieve the oil return fitting for the turbo. But my ? is for the guys who have the eagle rod, when i install my bearing caps i installed them with the notch on the opposite side of the notch in the connecting rod, was i supposed to install the caps with the notch on the same side as the connecting rod notch? I forgot to look at how the original was removed. And also the fucking oil switch adapter threading cant work with my sensor, that sucks, plz someone reply to the connecting rod cap? so i can proceed.

sorry i cant help with the eagle rods question....but my star kit sent me an incorrectly threaded oil sending unit also. what i did was go down to pep boys and piece together a few different "npt" fitting adaptors and that did the trick.

You can also go to homedepot for some fitting of the same or better quality, just use some teflon paste.
