I got my hrc stage II w/ fmic kit on wednesday, Ive been trying to find a shop local here that can install it, but none can. I was wondering if any one knows of any shops in the central florida area that can do a quality job of installing? I have not tried calling the dealership, I wouldnt think they would deal with aftermarket products? Or do you think they could reccomend some one?

there's tons of peeps in florida that could probably help you....and they are free of course that's not counting food expenses heh

yep basically here's the pros and cons of doing it yourself
Pro's You know what and where EVERYTHING is You know how to fix problems when they arise. You do it for free with exception of time (a weekend at most) quality time with other 2gnter's
Con's none
Pros and cons of paying for it to be done
Pro's Gets done relatively quickly and possibly right
Con's You WONT know what everything is and where it is You wont know how to fix problems as easily when they arise you miss out on your 2gnt buddy time pay an assload of cash for something you coulda done for the price of a 24 pack of budlight and some chips.

I agree, find some friends and do it yourself. We are right now halfway through putting on my Stage 2 with SMIC and so far all is gravy. The Hahn instructions are pretty idiot proof and easy to follow. And like what has been stated already, it lets you know where everything is and what it does so you can troubleshoot in the future. I'm actually having a shop "assist" with mine just due to work and ebing on the road, but the one I am doing it at is very cool to work with and has no problem with me being there and doing most of the work myself, not to mention they gave me a sweet ass deal because I helped them get this Mustang they have been working on an engine swap(V6 to 302 in a 2000) running day before last so they could get it out finally. The whole 1st day was very enlighteneing and I learned alot about where things go and what purpose they serve. All that is really left for tomorrow is oil lines, turbo and IC piping and some small odds and ends, everything else got done in about 10 hours today. Just make sure you have access to the right tools and all will go smooth......

Call down to south florida, I hear they are full of shops. Or drive up to GA. sometimes you gotta travel for major work.
I agree with everyone else though you might as well suck it up and do it yourself because there's no such thing as a trouble free bolt on kit and you really should know EVERYTHING about your system. Believe me when somethings not right you want to know where your vacuumn lines are routed and what they go to,where all your fuel lines are going, what color and where your fuel cut defenser wires are routed and how to change simple things like the oil sender/oil feed line ect. Without 1rst hand knowledge on where this stuff is you wont know which way to turn when something goes wrong. I wouldn't suggest you go out and try a turbo install on anything but our cars are so simplistic and relatively easy to work on the only problem you can possibly have is getting stuck bolts lose. Nothings too difficult to reach (as far as cars go) or requires any special tools.

I ordered it from Howell Automotive, took about 2 weeks to get it. I dropped my car off at Velocity Resources already, I heard some good stuff about it from the orlando dsm board. From talking to them, they really know their stuff. I have pretty much no experiance in engines, so I didnt think I could do it my self. The only people that offered to help me do it, wanted 450$. So I figured I would just pay more and make sure that it gets done the right way, the first time.

Haha some help they were. I added $200 to the price of my turbo kit when I sold it for the install and that included a 3hr drive up to Snipersville, MD in a rental full of tools, jack and jackstands.
