I'm sure that I already know the answer to this but I just wanted to ask before I started tearing apart stuff. Right now I have 30lbs injectors so does this mean that I need to use the 6:1 disk and then later when I get the 42lbs injectors I'm going to need to use the 4:1 disk? I just wanted to make absolutely sure eventhough that is the disk that their website says to use for those injectors. TIA

Who says to use those disks with those injectors? I'm not going to say they are wrong, but I would be very sure that they are talking about your exact engine/turbo/boost.
If you read over my pages, you should keep in mind that every turbo setup has its own fuel requiremnts. And keep in mind that Vortech's FMU disks are overstated. The 12:1, 10:1, etc disks don't increase fuel pressure but like 60-70% of what you would think.

OK, this is why I asked. I got those numbers from the Vortech website. Thanks for the replies.

Yes that's right ^^^^^ You have the same kit as deano d so you will need the 8:1 disc. I would reccomend you hook up the data logger to really tune it.
I edited to the wiki!

I get my laptop back next weekend so I can finally datalog it. I just wanted to be totally clear on the recal. disks. Thanks for the help.

Oh, I see...don't trust any fuel injector recomendations from the Vortech site. Go by calcs and what others on the board recommend. Vortech is making VERY general statements about those disks. Use that datalogger and don't rely on the S-AFC too much (you know that when it leans, the ECU will advance timing). Too much timing advance can lead to combustion problems (high load detonation and low load knock).

Jason, I think we may try an impedence box and low impedence peak and hol d turbo injectors, Ray is telling me they work better and maybe willing to help us wire it. Not only that, he'll sell us both a set of 450's for 100.
