Can anyone tell me what their average readings are on their EGT gauge when using an HRC Stage II turbo? I am curious as to what temperatures are considered safe on a properly tuned turbo.
Also, has anyone used a permatex sealer to make sure no leaks occur between the exhaust gasket and the turbo manifold? If so, what was the number or name of the permatex sealer?

depends where the probe is tapped. if it's in the #4 runner then they temps should be around 1450F-1550F, no more than 1600F, i'm not sure of the difference in the dp, but i think you subtract about 300*

my car hrc stage 2 with fmic probe in the middle of the manifold, stock injecs or with my 315cc nows, idle is about 800, then cruising (freeway) 1200... hard pulls at 9psi goes up to about 1550, sometimes if its hot or im pushing it it will start to go to 1600.. 1600 is the max u really want to go, and try not to go there often. today we got my cousin hrc stage 2 with smic working, probe tap at #4 runner, egt at idle was 800-900, and thats all i can remember, i was busying make sure all was good for test drive...

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. My stage II will be here soon enough and I plan on mounting the probe in the middle of the manifold. I just wanted some numbers to compare to.
