well the stage 2 went to shit so... i think i am going to get the stage 1 turbo kit and just buy a smic/fmic. i was just wondering if i were to buy a fmic in the near future can i use the one that comes with the 1g eclipse or do i have to get a special one. also how much do they run??? and also i was wondering do they sell a smic cause i can't seem to find one.. what do you guyz think??

No you can't use a FMIC that comes on a 1g eclipse.

Ya, XtremeRS did that with a smic. I'm sure you can too!

Nah its just there is no such thing as a 1g FMIC.

Man there are TONS of SMIC's on dsmtrader, ebay, thepartstrader, dsmtuners, etc...

I got mine for $50 and I have seen them go for $20.

ok well i just went on dsmtrader and they do have a good amount of smic i was just had a few questions can i use a 1g smic on my 2g car and will the piping fit? if i buy a 2g smic for the gs-t gs-x will the piping fit if not can i make it fit??? are the factory smic any good if so how much hp are they able to hold up are they as good as the hrc smic??

Get a 1g smic. they are thicker and more efficient. XtremeRS got his smic from me. I got it from my friend with a 1g for free so i just gave it to him. He had to position the ic a specific way to get it right. The piping for a 1g car or a 2g will not work. However, you might be able to use the bends in it to piece together your own piping fairly easily.

when u say piece together my own piping do i have to weld and shit or what and were do i get the piping from a auto palce???

Matt (XtremeRS) had a local shop make pipe bends for him as well as weld on a BOV flange onto a straight section. He coupled the piping together with a radiator hose with an inside diameter the same as the outside diameter of the pipe. hehe, sorry guys, have been pre-ocupied with buying a house the past few days..but here are a few pics of my 1g SMIC setup..

I did in fact get the IC from matt_95tgs (thanks bro!), and some piping bent from a local muffler shop. The piping isnt a true mandrel bent, but its press bent, which is a step down from mandrel. It flows damn good though. For all that and the boost controller total, i am running stage 2+ boost levels over the cost of a stage one boost level of 5 psi, for about 100 bucks . I also have by the IC, some metal flashing that is directing air into the IC. It goes from the sides of the IC and the top of it, to the openings in the front bumper, so that all the air going into the fog opening, and that far opening are getting directed right into the IC. My outlet of the IC is always cool. It works great, even at my current 10 psi. Note: the pics are a little old, it doesnt show my TurboXS BOV...
