I dont know maybe you have a fuel issue and you will run lean and get hot and melt pistons. Maybe you are running perfect and your temps will be fine. How are we supposed to know.

you should be fine. i didnt have a a/f or egt for months(not recomended) and i ran 5 times at the track 1/4 mile too. and still runin strong. but i will be rebuilding soon so it doesnt really matter. jes dont abuse too much and you should be fine for 1/8 mile.

qwad - There's really no way to tell you if it's okay or not. You really should get an EGT gauge ASAP, but I'm sure you know that! IMO, if you don't have the money to rebuild at any time then you should probably play it better safe than sorry and stay off the track.

EGT gauge tells you that you are hot. The A\F gauge tells you 'WHY' you are hot.
