#31711, "rebuild finished need a little love"

Hey all.... I have been out of the ball game for about 2 months now (long story) but i finally got the clips back today.... I need alittle help and back up on my thoughts though.

I threw in some 310cc injectors and the craptech is making the car run pig rich and the car idles a couple notches above 1000 rpms is that normal? My solution would be to get the vortech sfmu.... now I am assuming that it will be able to adjust according to return the idle to normal and get rid of the cel(rich code). I wont be using the safc jes quite yet so would it handle the 310cc right... XTREME RS i know you can help me with this situation... I would need to use the 3.72 disk correct? I will be boosting 10 pounds daily with the 310s....
I am still in my break in procedure so would it matter that I am running rich? Also say I attache the vortech smfu during my break in would I still run the 3.72 disk and dark colored spring?

Would like some help on this

thanks all

get the super-fmu dark colored springs, 3.62"disk. set static about 40psi with the 315cc injecs idle should be around 30psi?.. and if your going to use a super afc to lean down cool.. you will get (maybe) codes all the time during break in.. well i heard... cool

Nope, that disk is too high if you're using those injectors. I'm pretty sure that Matt (XtremeRS) uses the 2.62 disk (i think thats right... I dont have the sfmu so dont quote me on it). His idle is around 27 psi also I believe.

noooo, 12:1 would be waaaay to high. 12:1 ratio means that for every pound of boost, fuel pressure is raised 12 psi. If you had a 3:1 ratio, then for every pound of boost increased, the fuel pressure would raise 3 psi, and so on... Read this site (Corbin's) for explanations on fuel systems: http://www.geocities.com/vttalon/tech.html

It's possible that can lean out the safc enough to get it to run right when not under boost, but remember the rise rate also applys from vacuum to 0 vac as well. You really need to use the proper disk in order for your car to run properly. 12:1 with 440's is just waaaaay too much fuel.

yes thats correct. XtremeRS recently went into detail of what he did with the 310 cc injectors with the sfmu. I know that the way he did it is safe because we datalogged it to make sure the o2 readings were good and the short term and long term fuel trims were also acceptable. I'm sure you can find the thread if you search... it wasn't that long ago.

Yes here is what i am currently running with:

315cc injects
SFMU dark short spring/ 2.62 " disk with bleed valve open about 1- 1.5 turns
25 PSI of fuel pressure at 16-17 hg's of vacuum.
35 PSI of fuel at 0 (static)
around 75 psi of fuel at 10 psi boost.

Great fuel trims, and no rich CEL.
.96 o2's in third gear at WOT. No higher than 1550 EGT

Your fuel pressures may be slightly off from mine, as each car may be different. DATALOG you car to fine tune!! TRUST ME emoji

No probs at all yet running 10 psi on STOCK internals
