Well if you dont mind sacrificing your existing cat then
you can tear out the catalyst from the inside with a metal
pipe!

Good luck !

Problem is dude, that I need a 3" cat to gut out... and those
cost like $150, which is not really worth buying and gutting
out..

I was wondering where I could find some heat-shields for a cat, that would strap around a test pipe..

Try muffler shops, they might have old cats lying ard.
Or you could cut up your old cat and weld it on to the TP : )
Aww, what the hell, you don't have inspections anyway, just do what i do, leave the TP alone! : )

i got a brand new 3" cat that i want to get rid of. Bought it cus i was gonna use it but i figured screw it, there is so much other illegal shit on my car ... so why not one more illegal part? I'll just use my stock cat come emmissions time i figure. if you are interested, i'll sell it to you...and you can gut it or whatever you like. Or if anyone else is interested...let me know.
