Hi Gang:

I recently up-graded to Hahn Stage III, but have been having a stalling problem since the install. I have an intermittent engine stall when coming to a stop from 3rd or 4th gear. When I engage the clutch to come to a stop, the engine will just stall and die. I can start it right up and it idles great. Even the cold start idle is good.

I did a search and have since checked out and cleaned the throttle body, the TP switch and the idle valve. These appear to be okay. There are no intake vacuum leaks and the fuel pressure is set to spec.
I didn't have this problem before the up-grade and noticed it occured at the same time my speed sensor (speedometer) went out. Please, I need your help! Thanks!

Paul

It sounds kind of like your clutch isn't disengaging. Does it only do that when you are slowing down and push the clutch in? Oh yeah, do you still have a stock clutch? I am no expert but that's what it sounds like to me.

I think you already have your answer, speed sensor. It should keep the car at about 1k if you put the clutch in and coast to a stop and then it will settle to idle (~800). If it's shot, then it has no idea what the speed is and probably isn't giving the right signal.

Shit is all apart. Typical...

if you have cam gears that are too radical, it will stall coming to a stop too... mine was like that, set them back to zero's and boom, fixed a lot of the probs and codes i was having at the time...

Because of various, custom and standard set-ups on this board, what did you have in stage two, and what changes did you make for the stage 3 setup--fuel system or any other changes?
