OK im utterly confused, Iv'e been lookin into all the ways to make my basically stock 95 rs eclipse go faster(and im not talkin about headers and exhaust), here's ome of the things ve looked at

Gs-t/GSX engine swap
Nitrous
A 420a turbo (like hahn or star)
rebuilding my 420a

then i start reading this and hearing all about 2.4/2.5 engine swaps, $50 pistons + rods, someone tell me whts goin on....basically what I want to knowis what will be the fastest and easiest to do. Alright thanks all for any help.

Whoa there junior. Hope you have some $$$ to kill on a 4g63 swap. The $50 rod thing is being "developed". I haven't got mine yet and I still have to hunt down a block and head to see about fitting it together. Then another way of getting it into the car. If you want NOW results, buy a turbo kit from HRC and a Stroked Howell block. That will cost some $$$ plus a new clutch and fuel system and a whole other things.

Shit is all apart. Typical...

Howell offers a stroker, I believe 2.2 but don't quote me. Look at the banner or goto www.howellautomotive.com.
The 2.4 is a motor out of the "Cloud" cars and has fit nicely into the Neons as a "no replacement fo displacement" option. I only know of one guy who claimed to get one in a 2GNT Eclipse and drive it. There are now a few others taking on the task and doing pretty well, but is not any walk in the park. That's where the $50 rods come in. See, the GT crusier is coming boosted and the price was right for the internals on the 2.4. Now the trick is to (a) get them to fit inside the block w/o hitting the Eclipse head and (b) getting the engine to fit into the 2GNT bay. The second is very do-able, but I'm begining to have doubt about the first. (I'm keeping my hopes up though)

Shit is all apart. Typical...
