the kits should be very simple and straight forward to install. everything is bolt on. With the vortexh there are 3 lines if i remember correctly, an "in" "out" & "vacuum" line (not sure it they are labeled like that or not) i do remember the one one sticking up off of the middle hump goes to the retrun line of the tank. then the other line goes from your stock fpr to the "in of the fmu. and the other just connects to a vac. source

like he said ^^ this kit is pretty straight foward... shaun had the instructions posted up on his yahoo groups. i forgot the exact link.. just go to yahoo groups and search for new edge racing. any questions... just fire away... it is very similar to the star setup, so any things that you cant figure out... im sure that someone here can figure it for you.

^^what once was^^

^^what is now.. and permanently^^

If you need the instructions, fuel pump install stuff, and FMU setup stuff hit me up with an email and ill send you the stuff back. Also a certain pattern shaun told ourformer to uses putting the bolts in to get the downpipe to line up good. Glad you got it man, maybe my kit will get here tomorrow so i can have it on in time for the Nopi Nationals. But yeah hit me up with an email or im if you need anything from me. emoji

Well as far as the oil return line. When you drill the holes on the front of the oil pan make sure you do it far enough to the drivers side. I learned this the hard way. After drilling the holes and putting the flange on I found out the I couldn't get the pan back on the car because the fitting that screws into the flange was hitting the A/C Compressor. So I had to buy a new oil pan ($91!). Luckily I got it right the 2nd time. If you have any questions feel free to IM me. I'm finishing up the kinks, and will be boosting by noon tomorrow... and be re-building at 12:01PM.. j/k. CVed has helped me out a TON w/ the installation.

Yeah, Shaun called me last night and got my trackng number. My kit will be here on saturday. I am from AL. I should have everything done on it in time for Nopi. Shaun told me to relay to you guys that he would be more likely to get a message from you if you email him rather than calling. He said if you are missing any parts such as wastegate to email him and he will overnight the missing parts to you. emoji

The in on the turbo feed should come from your oil sender location on the back of the block. There are 2 plugs behind the block, the closest one is a knock sensor (i think) and than if you go up a little and to the left that is your oil pressure sensor. You should have some sort of "T" fitting that plugs in there and than that becomes your oil suppply.

ok that is cool i understand that one now

oil out from pressure into turbo then out of turbo into pan emoji
(i just changed my sensor too now that i have the digital gauges everything is new sensors)

just need another flange or hookup on the return side of the oil since i dont have one.

are these generic parts or specific for each turbo?

keith

I believe most turbos use somewhat of the same oil drain fitting. Some people just screw their hose into it and some use something with a flange on the end. I have no clue how Shaun@NER has this set up.

they are specific to the turbo but easily/commonly available from any place that sells garrett turbos (RRE, any turbo rebuilder ect) or you could even go to the junkyard and take one off a thunderbird turbo coupe or Mustang SVO ( orany car that used a T3). Too bad your way in Canada. If you just brought all the parts to NOPI we could tell what you needed. I didn't hear you mention fuel pump, got one or do already have one for your nitrous set up?
