the time is coming very near...my turbo setup is very close to being done..i'm having one hell of a time getting my whole turbo setup from Wyatt but i don't want to start anything there, don't know if anyone else has run into any issues....Wyatt has always been very very cool with me its just that my patience is running very close to the edge, we're going on month 3 that i paid and still don't have everything....anyhow.....as i wait for everything to come i have my engine torn down and the head is off....i have a very good porting guy who can do my head, port and polish, for 200 dollars....now that isn't a huge amount of cash but i'm looking at the fact that it could go towards my profec B...i have been told by a few reputatble tuners that our engine is incredibly efficent and that it isn't necessary...i'm thinking of having everything port matched...the block is being bored .20 over, and decked obiviously, the crank is getting polished....how many people are running a ported & polished head and is it really worth the extra cash?? your advice would really be appreciated...thanks...

yes, i ported my head and it def makes a difference. when you take out the valves you can see how congested the head is. it dosnt need any major grinding, but there are alot of ridges and so on that can use some smoothing out.

I second this. When I swaped motors in my car I had a 5 angle valve job done and I also had the head ported. After putting in the new block with JE 8.6:1 pistons, the car pulled the same without boost as it did with the stock pistons in.
