hey guys, just wondering which oil temp range is more appropiate for a turbo 420a. the ultra-lite guages come in both 100-250* and 140-300*...

Horsepowerfreaks.com has 60mm greddy peak/hold/warning gauges for $98!! It can be used for either water or oil temp. Just thought I'd let you know. With all these damn gauges to try to keep track of, it's nice to have the peak/hold function so you don't have to worry about watching it continuously.

thanks, but thats double the price of the ultra-lite series, and all my other guages are ultra-lites

anyone know what normal oil temps should be?

also, best place to tap the probe in

mine are about 150 to 200 when in traffic, but most of the time(cruising) they are about 165 deg

With the turbo, mine run about 220* or so on hot days. The probe (sender unit really) needs to go in the oil pan. You need to drop the pan, drill it, get a fitting brazed in (make sure it's below the oil level so you get a temp of the oil, not the air), reinstall hook up the wires (12v, ground, signal), and you're all set.
