Everyone complains about turbo lag, and electric turbos cannot boost enough. so why cant you just connect an electric motor up to the turbine so there isn't the chance of parts falling off and getting sucked into your engine. The electric motor could be turned on and off and would be working like a s/c because it will be spooled somewhat all the time if needed. what do you guys think? the most boost i've heard of an electric motor was like 1.7 psi... what kind of increase would this be? All it would do is keep the momentum up on the turbo even in vaccuum. Someone needs to find a 50k rpm electric motor some one input on this.
Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related. Step 1: Put down everything in your hands. Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it. Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you. If not. Go here: here
If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

What happens to the electric motor when the turbo fully spools to like 120,000 rpm??? I'm sure we all know the answer to this question. If people complain about their turbos not spooling fast enough, I have 2 solutions that work. 1. Go buy a t25. 2. Go buy a studder box. With a studder box, you can build boost before you even launch the car.

garrett is coming out with the exact thing, its a turbo with an electric motor that spools the turbo up for decreases lag time, its coming and will work just fine, its just that most electric motor bearings will get destroyed, but garrett has it coming out soon

nice! how much will it cost? and what will it keep it spooled at? any details yet?

Actually, i read an article about a turbo that Garrett was supposed to be doing some R&D on that used a powerful Electric motor to assist with spooling up a turbo. I'll see if i can dig it up over the weekend.
ok , i think this is it... i'll keep looking though...

remember, nos costs money plus, garrett already has it under control.
