hey corbin i am tryin to get the parts together for the setup but one question can i use any size injectors or are near stock the best ones to use. i am going to be boostin max 16 psi. later "Z"

not corbin but...as far as i know you can use any size, but keep it w/in a reasonable range based upon the fuel formulas. i have 8 stockers ready to go on the car at this point. that is enough as it is, unless you have huge injectors sitting around that you could use, i wouldn't go and spend all the money on big ones, one point of the 8 inj setup is so that you don't have to spend big bux on large inj's etc
and corbin - i got u're package, thx alot. i ordered the lcd last week, so it should come w/in the next day or so ... and then i'll let you know when i get an order page up (sometime this week) and i love how you used the feb 2002 issue of sport compact car to package the parts, that's classic

You can use any size. Not many people on the board have the stup right now, however, the few people that are have all chosen different sizes. People are using as large as 625 and as small as 19lbs. Choose whatver you like. I only pocked 440cc's as my secondaries since I got such a kick-ass deal on them.
Otherwise, if you used 4 stockers and then 4 more stockers as your secondaries, you should have more than enough for a little over 300 HP.

You set the fuel pressure to provide proper fueling with the stockers at 0 psi boost and below (vacuum conditions). If you keep your stock injectors in the stock location, then you know your fuel pressure will be around 50 psi of differential pressure across them (fuel pressure minus manifold pressure). Stockers will flow about 252 cc/min at this pressure. So you know that your secondaries will also have this same 50 psi of differential pressure to work with. If you know how much fuel it will take to run 16 psi of boost, then you can calculate how much fuel you need your secondary injectors to provide.
(Fuel for 16 psi boost) - (252 cc/min) = (secondary injector flowrate at 50 psi)
With the "secondary injector flowrate at 50 psi" you can work backwards to get the actual secondary injector size.

I am using Ford Motorsport 30lb (315cc) injectors. You can get them cheap off of the Mustang guys. If you do the math it is like running four 550cc injectors. This is what I recomend. They are cheap and common. I got my injectors for $60. Go to http://trader.stangnet.com to find some.
Corbin. I have been messing with the EIC quite a bit. I was getting some hesitation at around 93kpa. It was like the car was not getting the amount of fuel needed at this point. O2 was going lean. So I took the "cut fuel below" down to 92kpa. This has cleared it up, but there was a problem with that. Since the EIC is seeing 100kpa when the car is off. The controller is trying to drive the injectors. This is not good. I recomend editing your instrctions to hook the power up to an ignition source. I also took the "Inj. Inhibit Timer" down to 5sec. Given this will differ from person to person. I am using a T3 turbo that spools up at 3000rpms, so I may be getting flow before other setups. But I think it is safer to use an ignition source.

Good point. I'll add some info on that. I've never purposely set my "fuel cut below" to be under atmospheric pressure. I set mine right at the local atmospheric pressure. But, I've driven to lower elevations and parked (essentially the same thing). I'll change my own power wiring too. Thanks for mentioning it.

Just for the record, I've had great success with my cut fuel below level to just slightly above atmospheric pressure to something closer to 106. That way, having the EIC wired directly to the battery doesn't create the condition you're describing.
At first, I had my EIC connected the an ignitioned source (ECU power). But, I've seince changed that to my battery power. Why? I just wanted to make sure my EIC has plenty of power to fire all of those injectors with enough juice, and also with a consistent level of power. This thinking may be either in error or overly cautious, but it's just something to think about. For instance, we all know about the fuel pump wiring having a good amount of power variation, hence the reason for rewiring it directly to the battery.

I can understand putting the cut fuel at 2kpa above. That would make more scence to me. The stock fuel system should be able to supply the car with the prop amound of fuel up to 0psi. I checked my reading with the car turned off. EIC read 100.8kpa. I set the cut to 102kpa and it runs fine when i stomp on it. I get major hesitation when crusing. So I just started to drop the cut. 96kpa, better. 94kpa, better. Now it is at 92kpa, great. I don't understand it, but it runs good this way. I need to get her on the dyno and do some tuning. That will give me some more insight.

what if we wire a relay switch to the EIC like we did for the fuel pump rewire? that way it would get direct current from the battery but only when the car is on? would it work or am i overlooking something?
Or will the EIC forget its perameters when power is disconnected?

I plan to add a relay to give my EIC direct current from the battery. I suppose I'll switch it with the ECU power or something. The EIC will not lose its settings when depowered...so no worries.

jcurcillo, just wondering what you have your Map Rate Cut Sensitivity set at. So, lets say you are at 65mph (in 4th gear) under vacuum, and then you floor it, you do not get any hesitation? What do you mean by hesitation while cruising? Just wondering if maybe the "Map Rate Cut Sensitivity" could be part of your problem. I think most of us have this set higher than the stock 5, I think I have mine at 20.
