Well the good news is that I'm getting one for free!!! My boy had a spare laying around from his Stang. He told me it's brand new in the box but I might want to go ahead and get new disks for the inside. WHich ratio do I need to order or do you guys think that the ones on it will still be good? He was pretty sure it was setup for a 10:1 ratio but couldn't remember off the top of his head. Any part #'s possibly to make it easier to order. Turbo should be here in about 2 weeks and I want to have all the replacement things lined up and ready to go for install day. Other than the SFMU and MIssing Link is there anything else I need to pick up to replace sucky parts that come with the kit??? TIA

Are you sure that it is a S-FMU, not a FMU? I ask because the S-FMU never had a "10:1" ratio disk. The FMU is the unit that has the way over-rated disks (12:1 performs like 7:1 or something). The S-FMU disks are much less over-rated (5.4:1 performs like 5:1).
What disks someone may recommend will depend on what kit you have coming and if you really have a S-FMU. What boost you plan on running matters too.

I'm getting a Hahn Stage 2, hoping it hurrys up and gets here already. Yes I know it is a SFMU so that is why Iasked. The reason his is ramped so high is due to the fact that he is running a SC Stang that is fully race built for street outlaw and pushing in the 1000 HP range, so he needs tons of fuel. I need to know what disks I needd to order for my not so powerful application. I know you guys are saying something about using the bigger disk or whatever but which set of discs do I need to order? Extreme I anxioulsy await your info so that I can order and be ready for the near future.. Thanx again guys.....

6 psi HRC boost, 2.72" disk and short dark spring 9 psi HRC boost, 3.62" disk, short dark spring, and bleed valve
The S-FMU probably won't have the spring or valve included. You'll probably have to order them from Vortech (www.vortechsuperchargers.com). I was suspicious as to whether is was really a S-FMU because Vortech does not make a "10:1" disk for the S-FMU. The only disks they sell for it are included with the unit. The highest ratio is about 6.5:1 (by their included fuel pressure graph).

Thanks for the info, I undersatand how you can be suspicious, but like I stated, he is kinda in the special zones when it comes to getting things and the setup on his car. I'll see what all is with the thing when I get it and order a disk pack then. Should be there soon as I get home next week...
