Fisrt off what temps do you guys have at idle?
Mine was like at 800 I think.
But anyway I went for a ride and I got on it and I went to redline and right before I have to shift it makes it up to right at 1575 if not 1600.

Is this normal for running the gear up that high right before rev limiter?

other than that normal driving it stays around 12-1400

The thing I don't understand is that before I installed it I thought I was running rich considering I am only running 4 psi, due to injectors.
I have plenty of fuel pressure.
it is actually so rich that in the mornings, it idles really bad and puffs black stuff out the exhaust. PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT...........then it smooths out after about a minute and a half, but there is still bacl stuff all over the back bumper.

What do you guys think?

You can get higher EGTs both by running lean AND running rich.

Think of all that unburned fuel hitting your glowing exhaust manifold emoji

Your egt's are just about dead on to what mine are at now.. Your about right on for power, but maybe just a tad more fuel to cool it down a hair. I idle around 825-875. Anything under 1600 is fine really. In 5th gear on the highway, i get around 1350-1400 on the egt's..

Hmmm......With my setup (HRC Stage1 Billet FPR and S-AFC)...I idle at about 875 rpms....cars starts perfect, runs perfect. Fuel pressure at idle is almost always 55psi, sometimes 60psi.

At redline in first gear, I don't see over 1300 degrees...so to me you seem kind of hot...but perhaps there is a problem I have with my fuel system? (Too much furl pressure at WOT?) <--- would that cause low EGT's (which is okay), but detriment my performance?

Funny, with my SFMU, my idle is 40, and under 5 psi boost it is about 83psi of fuel on the 3.62" disk.

So is this true you can get higher EGT's with TOO MUCH fuel also??
I am not doubting you I just have never heard of that before...
I hope that is the case.....
When I first start the car it is somewhere around 800 but after I drive it for a while and then let it idle it is around 1100-1200.

If you give your motor too much fuel it wont all burn in the combustion chamber.

When those gases are released into the exhuast manifold that is glowing red they just ignite (increasing your EGTs).

Makes sense emoji
