I know free flowing exhaust is better, but what would happen if just for the track we unbolted the HRC DP where it connects to the stock DP and only have the HRC DP as the exhaust pipe???
Would that make our times better or would that be too dangerous??
Or would that hurt our times?
Do you think that would be too much heat coming back on the block?

What if you could get a pipe made the bolt on just for the track that would go from the HRC DP and out the side in front of the front wheels?

I saw this on a car in a magazine, just wondering if it were possible or if would help the 1/4 mile runs

if i where to unbolt the stock dp from the hrc dp, i would have it go to the side or towards the ground.. when i get my 2.5dp i plan to run it to the side or just throw a test pipe or hi flow cat in etc... i also believe you can have boost spikes with the stock dp disconnected...

I blew my stock exhaust off the HRC DP (stupid U-bolt clamp)...

You could hear the car (think 1967 mexican volvo diesel) for like 8 blocks, I couldn't go over 35mph without stalling the car, the A/F ratio went apeshit, and the CEL came on.

So.. not too great of an idea. For one thing, you need at least one O2 sensor emoji

yes if you unbolted from your downpipe , your 02 sensor would go crazy and your car would run like shit...i mean it wont even cruise down the street, the computor thinks its lean and freaks by dumping a shit load of gas and fouls the plugs...happened to me a week ago.def dont try it

the newer version of our 2.5" dp will have the o2bung on the top half, and there will be a turn down option that you can also purchase, so when you do drop the second half, all you have to do is bolt up the turn down and your ready to go.

this turn down, what do u mean? it will just bolt onto the top part of the dp, and face towards the ground instead of going in what direction?

if you looked at the pics at www.teamert.com , you can see that the first half of the dp, curves toward the back of the car, before connecting to the second peice. the turndown would aim it to shoot straight toward the ground as to not shoot hot exhaust gas all over your oil pan.
