#29780, "Q for the turbo guys??"

tomorrow Im going to go and check out a star turbo kit..only thing is the guy claims it has a 18G and he bought it that way and doesnt know much about it.. so he could have T3/T4 and not even know it. Does an 18G turbo look different than a T3/T4 other than maybe being bigger.
TIA

One should say mitsubishi the other should say garrett.

The t3/t4 is much bigger than the 18G also.

Garrett makes the T3/T4. The 18G on the other hand is a Mitsubishi turbo as it says on it. The 18G is a TD05H just like the 14b and 16g but with a bigger compressor side on it.

the Star kit does not come with mitsu turbos. so he is either lying, does not know what he is talking about, or had some custom work done on the exhaust manifold.

yep I would take a good look. the turbo may also say turbonetice on it as well. It says star on the manifold though so you'll know. and the t3/t4 is huge if it's a small turbo you will know wich one it is. also if it's a kit and the pipes are black it's a hahn kit unless he painted them.
