#2924, "estimate on hp??"

hi. can someone give me some estimates on how much hp a turbo can give me, with internals, intake, headers, exhaust, wires, etc. small mods.
16g, 18g, 20g, T3/T4bb, and anything else..thanks a lot!
also, what gauges will i need besides boost gauge and a/f gauge? and where is the best place to put the boost controller and turbo timer, any recommendations on what kind to get? if anyone has pics i'd appreciate it. thanks again

Matt

HRC or STAR kit.

That's all you need.

You need to look at a Star or HRC kit.

No offense, but you easily listed the big things. That was easy. It i sall the fittings, fuel lines, hoses, piping, manifold, injector sizing and fuel pump sizing and required fuel pressure ot properly match whatever turbo and intercooler you have, etc etc...

It is the little things that kill and where experience becomes important.

internals + lots of fuel = however high you want to go..but you'll get to the point where you won't be able to drive it on the street.

well, i was wanting to go big, maybe 500hp or so, but don't want to spend $7k on the kit i want from HRC. I figure i can put together a few used parts and a few new and get a good setup. I was wanting someone to help me make a check list so that i can be sure i have everything to get it on. i figure since i don't have much experience about turbo's i'd get advice from other people to decide on the components, brands and sizes of everything. i was hoping everyone could help me but your just saying "kit". the kit i want cost way to much!

whoa 500HP? i think thats more than anyone on this board isnt it? not trying to sound like you CANT do it, but id say if youre a novice and dont really know much about turbos (like me) you should start with a smaller goal, like 250HP with a kit then upgrade later. if you do all that at once shooting for 500HP you almost definately will blow something up or break something, or hookup wrong, and because youre a novice you wont be able to diagnose the problem yourself like some of these guys can do. but kudos if you can set a 500HP goal and hit it on your first try. youre a better man that we if you can
