ok guys i got some questions before i purchase the kit. Im going stage one for now due to the fact that money does not grow on trees.
First question..
Will my engine hold up to 5 psi from the stage one kit, i have 143000 miles( mostly highway in fact 39000 miles of it highway for sure) and i have stock internals with the exeption of the MLS headgasket wich i installed not so long ago i aslo did all the maintance stuff while i was at it. so will it hold till....say 200000 miles?????
By then i hope to have enough money to rebuild engine top and bottom

Second question...
While i was doing the headgasket and maintanace stuff i went ahead and upgraded the stock clutch for a stage one Clutch Master's kit, i was not even thinking about boosting when i bought it. So will this clutck hold up to the added torque and power that the turbo kit will bring??

Third question...
what else do i have to do to my car to prepare it for boost other than rebuilding it???

Fourth question....
What other things do i need to have to go along with the turbo?? i know of the A/F mixture gauge, oil pressure gauge, EGT gauge...what else will and ignition help at all and if so will a MSD DIS-2 to the trick .....

sorry to make it so long but i need to find out as much info about boosting before i step into deep mud..thanks guys
i got more questions but ill ask soon as i get a response fron you turbo lords...
F

Sorry but this question is asked at least 5 times a day. I know your not brand new to this board so you should know that you need to do a compression test and there is no possible way anyone on here can tell you your motor will last a certain ammount of time boosted. I dont see any reason for people to reply to this. You could have 150K miles and last a long time or have 30K miles and blow up after a day of boostin. You need to have back up $ in case shit happens. Like in your other post I say u get a TSI so u already got something turbo'ed. Both me and dsmnt96 who lives near me blew our enginesafter less then a year but some people on here last a lot longer. Do a search for how long people have been turbo'ed on stock internals then do a compression test.

good to go, we want to use my title huh? i guess we'll have to run em' for the copyright huh? anywayz good luck with the turbo kit and may the boost be with you.

what I'm going to do is throw on the turbo kit run 'bout 6 or 7 psi and put all my money after that into re-building the bottom end such as rods, pistons, keb crankshaft, and sleeved cylinders(hopefully) sounds like it'll work so here's hoping.............

#4 EGT gauge
Air/fuel gauge, New oil and filter, one range colder spark plugs, Exaust mani and oil pan gaskets just in case, maybe extra wiring, lots of tools. i dont think u have to get an oil pressure right away if u want to get somethin else like s-afc. also everything in the kit u get should prepare u for boostin.......
