Well I have been having problems from the get go. I cant seem to get My car to run a continuous degree between rich and lean. One day it will run fine the next day it will run lean and fall on its face at WOT. I just dont understand. I can be driving down the road just cruising and the car will hesitate then will run lean At WOT. It will just jump right to lean when you give it full throttle. My fuel pressures are constant. I have my stock injectors in right now cause my rc 370cc were giving me problems. What could cause this intermitant Back and forth. Could I have a faulty sensor that acts up. or a Faulty FCD. I just dont know and I have tried everthing. Please help. I have an HRC stage 3. I will be buying 440s here shortly as soon as funds arise. Please let me know what you think the problem could be. Also when it runs lean my egts go straight to 1600 without hesitation. I am only able to go full throttle for about 5 sec. But when it runs rich I can run Wot forever. Sorry for this being so long. Thanks for you help.

I would put a volt meter on your FCD and see if it is giving you accurate voltages consistantly. Some people posted on this subject recently so if you look for a bit, you will find it. I would recommend going with the missing link instead of using the FCD if your voltages arent right.

still using the cartech fpr? my cylender inside of the fpr would get stuck in the closed position sometimes, closing the return line and causing "full" pressure on the rail ... mite want to look into that ... there was so much fuel i'd get fuel cuts, and sometimes it'd be so bad i wouldn't be able to get into 1st gear.

what do you mean your fuel press is constant? what psi are you running and what is the fuel press. at that psi? YOur rich and lean readings come from the o2 sensor so if they jump around like that it could mean that your o2 sensor is faulty. You also said that your egts shoot up to 1600 at WOT (if fuel press is adecuate) then it could be that your vc1 (or hrc version of it) is faulty, check the voltage reading from it and see. Another posibility could be that you are getting a small ammount of detonation.
run those tests and let us know.

well By constant fuel press. I mean the Idle press. I did some tests today and came up with these results. At 57 psi Idle the voltage is at 3.5 volts at WOT. At 63 PSI idle the voltage is at 5.0 volts at WOT. I dont understand this. But that is what it said. Now these voltage readings are from the sensor check on my SAFC. I dont know if You should wire the safc before or after the fcd. I have mine wired at the ECU (after fcd). IF you did it after wouldnt that defete the whole purpose of the FCD. The car ran great at 57 Psi Idle with the SAfc unhooked and bypased, But when I hooked the Safc back up the car wouldnt barely go anywhere and it was running like ass. So I then turned the Fuel press. up to 63 and it ran rich but the egts were still around 1600. what should the voltages be at at idle and at Wot with the fcd.

Check the MAP voltage with the car NOT running and the key turned on. It should be at about 4.5 volts. Its the first sensor check on the s-afc.

ok I did what you said dave and the voltage was ok at first. then playing with the throttle which shouldnt affect it with the car not running it jumped down to 3.6 and stayed there. I tried to play with the throttle again but it didnt do anything. So I think I have some sort of electical problem.

If your voltage reads lower than 4.5 volts then take off your FCD and see how it runs then. You might get some fuel cut but just live with it untill you order the missing link.

I'm glad you guys are all jumping on this FCD problem. I've been going blue in the face about this for about a year now.

I think I'll put a Missing Link sticker in my window. emoji

I'm still waiting on my missing link to get here. I still have the fcd on there right now and it sucks. The fuel cut w/out it sucks, too, because the entire area where I live is all hills. So every time I let off when I am going up a hill I get fuel cut.
