I only get a reading of .81v and it doesn't change.

So,

Either I have it hooked up wrong or I have to change a configuration on the DFI???

Basically, does this sound like I have it hooked up right? I get a signal, if it wasn’t hooked up I wouldn’t get a signal right?

A wire on the o2 went to 12v switched
B wire went to signal on DFI (c-5 port)
c wire ground at battery

After you get the o2 on what do I need to do now?

Sounds like you have it hooked up correctly. In the 'Global' menu in the Calmap software, go to the "ECU Configuration' menu. 2nd or 3rd item down is the closed or open loop selection. Highlight the menu choice, hit enter, then arrow key to change the selection to closed loop. Hit enter again and you're all set. Keep in mind, that setting only stays current with the file you changed it in, ie. if you load a new set of maps, you will have to change the new program to closed loop as well.

Will I always have a .81v reading?

I confirmed the hook up by cutting the signal wire and checking the o2 again on the DFI and it read .10v so I know it’s getting a signal.


So, will the o2 voltage ever change?
If it doesn't, what should I look for to correct the problem?

Is changing the open-closed loop setting all I need to do as far as settings go?

Why are you even messing with the o2? To tune with? Cause I used to have the bosch one hooked up but I didnt see any reason to keep it when I got a new downpipe made, drives the same, idles the same, and fuel economy is similar... it always sucks

Yea, I put it on for close loop tuning. I am full aware of your opinions and exercise w/ the o2. I am not saying you are wrong in any way I just want to try it out for myself. I will probably see the same results as you did. It has been sitting on a shelf ever since I bought the DFI so I figured I would put it on.

I guess I will call Len tomorrow and see if he can shied some light on it.

I like to follow what my grandpa always tells me.... keep it simple stupid. but then again i ignore him when he says..if it ain't broke, don't fix it Good luck with the 02. I would worry more about tuning with a datalogger and egt's though if the dfi's o2 doesnt work out for you.

Ok now I need some help! I still get .81v on the o2 reading and nothing is different. The car doesn't run any different and the A/F doesn't cycle. I called Len at HRC and he was cluless as to what was going on. The o2 never reads anything other than .81v. Any ideas?

Bad o2? Hook up your o2 gauge to factory o2 and see if it's cycling, or swap plugs if they're compatible.
