anyone use one of these on their external wastegate dump tube? i saw it on some site (http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/supert2.htm) and thought it might muffle the loud ass dump tube, and maybe be a cleaner alternative to getting a pipe welded back into the downpipe. its just an idea, tell me what u think. tia.

i brang my car to meineke today and they said they could weld my dumptube to the downpipe, but i know they are gonna do a shit job. he doesnt really understand what im talking about. i showed him pictures and stuff too. i wanted to know if there are some other alternatives to welding it to the downpipe. anyone try this muffler thingy?? tia.

I think I would still weld to the downpipe just because even with the muffler I imagine it would stil be loud as hell. I think its illegal to vent also...

Not to mention stinky do a nice long hill climb under full boost, you'll smell that good ol carbon monoxide goin into your car. But man getting that thing welded is a bitch, STAR did such a bad job of positioning the wastegate, stupid pipe points towards the block too. I didn't get it right the first time too, it hit the crossmember so I had to take it back. Cost me 80 and 30 to fix it. But it looks pretty good. Cept for that one 90 degree part.
Hehe you can make a dump pipe going toward the side of teh bumper and put a small supertrapp there. Hehe... I kinda miss that loud ass sound.
