#28209, "Still got fuel cut after the Missing Link...lean at WOT"
Okay I installed the Missing Link (BTW car runs alot better without that VC1) and slapped on the 160 thermostat and radiator cap. Then I did a couple of runs. Temps bout 75F..nice and cool. I shift to second and at about 2k I gun it WOT it starts to build boost at around 3-3.5k Boost checks in at about 4-5psi...and then the A/F gauge goes Red Lean and it feels like someone pulled all the reigns back on my horseys. I do it again and same thing..the boost builds, you can hear it spool and I'm going nowhere. I try it in third and the same thing happens. The only way I can get some good boost is at 3/4 throttle. Any help please? THAnks

I'm sure your leanness it for another reason that MAP fuel cut.
The first obvious thing to look to, is your CEL. If the ML wasn't doing its job, then you'd get one in regards to the voltage being too high. However, I think your problem lies elsewhere that's causing your leanness.
Check: 1) Fuel pressure vs. boost 2) Fuel pump voltage 3) Vacuum line to FPR 4) Spark plugs, wires
I'd check those things first. BTW, how do you have your fuel system configured right now?

do everything said above.. do u still got stock injectors? of so clean them if u can or so...check all fuel, and ignition stuff... any cel? try and use a ob2 program to see whats going on when ur at WOT... might be pulling timing which is slowing you do? just a thought..

Well I don't think the ignition system would cause this great a cut..so that's out. I'm using some Nology Wires BTW. I'm still on stock injectors with a Vortech 12:1 FPR. I will check out the vaccumm line, but I replaced it a couple weeks ago. I did the Relay thing for the fuel pump, but I will re-check the voltage. Can I just hook up a fuel pressure gauge on the port of the fuel rail to measure the psi. I don't have a Datalogger so I can't check it out..anyone in socal have one? Thanks guys

Definitely get that CEL code and get back to us. Don't forget your local Autozone to retrieve those codes!
And yes, you can hook a fuel pressure gauge to your test port on your fuel rail Definitely give that a look and tell us what you see. Don't forget about the schraeder valve in the port though.
(Man, no fuel return line on those STAR kits! I hate that!)
Until you get this resolved, don't boost too much Alvin! (at least don't go over 1-2 psi in your troubleshooting) Remember, our cars do not like misfires and pre-ignition detonation!!

You might also want to check your vortech fmu rubber seal. If it got ripped or is not sealing properly, it will not raise pressure as you increase boost. Remove all the small bolts around the outside and pull it apart.
You might not have a good connection with your vacuum line attached to fmu or up near the engine bay. Maybe the line has a hole in it. What are your vacuum readings when idling the car cold/warm.
Cannot remember if you said you changed your fuel filter recently. I plan on changing mine every 10K since now I run higher pressures.
good luck

Well I checked out the FPR and I saw some screws missing from the outside part and the rubber seal is not seated properly. I'll probably take it apart this weekend and re-seal it...maybe get some gasket sealer to just incase. My vaccumm is at about 16inhg..so i don't think I have a leak. I'm gonna check it out..i'll keep ya updated. Thanks..BTW I dont have any CEl
