#27862, "To those running 13's"

I was wondering, when you cruise the streets, does anyone even race you anymore or do they all know what you got?

Cause i was thinking, you can beat basically any "normal"(not lambos, ferrari's, etc) car on the streets. I mean when you line up against a stock mustang whos driver thinks his car is baddass, do you even get a rush anymore....or is it just like, "ahhh another kid who dont know whats coming"

Depends on if i'm stopped or rolling. No matter how much power it makes, traction isn't going to get any better on the street.

I am not "officially" running 13's yet but....I always get a ruch racing even if it is a mustang that only runs 14's or a civic that runs 15's. Its exciting. And you never know what the guy next to you has under the hood. I raced a civic si once (back when i was stage 2)that spanked me pretty bad. I later found out that he was built and turboed and running high 12's.

Same here, I use to get revved on all the time. I also had a lot of people stepping up to the challenge but not anymore in my area of town, no one wants to race anymore. I think lot of it has to do w/ the FMIC and the TurboXs type h-rfl BOV, pure intimidation works well. I have yet to be beaten on the street w/ stage 4, but it is bound to happen sometime because there is always someone faster.

Currently I'm undefeated as well in my area, but like JustOne said, there is ALWAYS someone faster. My largest "kills" have been a 2002 Camaro SS(stock), 99 Z28(modded), 96 Firebird Formula(lightly modded), Daves' 93 GT Mustang, two heavily modded 4G63's(still on T-25), and a heavily modded GSR. I actually get better traction on the street than I do at the track....from a 30mph roll my car is nasty! There are probably only like 5 or so fast imports in my area, so guys usually think they are gonna spank me....not the case. The only times I get really excited for a race is when I know someone thinks they are gonna beat me...like the 2 LS-1's I spanked..... emoji

funny you mentioned this. Last night, I decided to take the car out to the local hangout where all the "cool" kids are. They've seen my car once in a while and when they do, it's like a UFO sighting. I'm the only one in this area to have turbocharged RS. So anyways when I pull up, all of them...I mean all of them came crowding and running begging me to pop the hood. I'm like get back man, it's not like it's a ferrari. It felt some what good, to know these kids sweat my car. And most of them have pretty good looking cars, just not as much power mods.

Officially, I'm not running 13's, but my car is capable. For some unknown reason, when I was running 10 psi, I'd get revved at all the time by Integras, Mustangs and Camaros. Now that I'm running 17 psi daily, I seldom get revved at, nor could I find anyone to race me. It's as if "they know." It's so weird. When V-8's see me from behind, they tend to stay way back.

On the freeway, I've beaten a '02-'03 Corvette (not sure of exact model--he was always in my rear view mirror), modded Mustang 5.0's, modded Camaro's.

When I drive my car(which I don't do very often), I get glances and stares, and the occasional rev of someone wanting me to ruturn with a deep growl, but no one wants to race. I pick exotics to hastle now cause they usually think i am joking with my "neon" engine.

I had a brief talk with a MKIV Supra driver the other week about why people don't race DSMs. He said that non-DSM people know enough about them to tell whether or not they are turbo and AWD. He said he races FWD turbo DSMs, but that is it. He said the NTs are not worth it, and the AWD cars kick his ass off the line so bad that he doesn't want to race. He also said that he can tell 2gNT cars apart from 2g-T cars much easier than the first gens. He said he came across a debadged AWD 12 second 1st gen before that kicked his ass. He doesn't race 1st gens anymore. (kind of weird if you ask me).

So I take races when I can get them. Not many people know how fast my car is yet. I want them to think I only run 13s though, so when I strap the new turbo on, they get really shocked emoji
