I just ordered the new and improved hallman mbc. It is called the ES model. It now has a chromed body and overboost protection built in. It was only $50 shipped from boostcontroller.com. They also reworked the Joe P. Now you don't have to use an allen to adjust it. I wanted a profec b, but i just figured it was really over kill for my purposes. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case you're looking for a good mbc reasonably priced. Justin

Hmmm...how new is this boostcontroller? I orderd my Hallman like ohh a month ago maybe? I have a spiking problem sometimes with it. It will spike like at least 1 or 1.5 psi sometims..i dont like that. I wonder if i got the older style? Hallman was at the Shootout in Ohio, and i asked them if boost spike was normal, and they said it was, but no more than 1 psi they say...hmmm..

Funny how the improved version is $50 and the old version sold for $90 for I dont know how long. I guess people and competition has finally brought them into reasonability. I had no problems with the manual other than having to get out to change it.

Theres actually three different types of hallman boost controllers.
EVOLUTION RX MBC- you get to control it from inside the car-$95
Classic Hallman MBC-$80
Hallman ES MBC-$50

i have the hallman classic and personally have had no problems of spiking whatsoever...maybe im just lucky. if anyones interested, heres their website. www.hallmanboostcontroller.com
