What is the safe maximum amount of boost I can run with a built bottom end, 310cc injectors, and a sfmu on 91 octane?.(no s-afc)

thanks

you'll be kinda rich running 310cc's w/o tunning it with the AFC. all i can say lower the static fuel pressure from the fuel regulator to atleast 32-38psi. i would not go more than 10-11psi. or use corbin's formula to help you out. i think i was able to tune it well usung his method.

Hey it's always better to run rich than lean though. emoji Even though you might give up a little power but atleast you wont kill your pistons like when you run lean.

Here's my setup that I have a question for, can't find anyone else with my particular setup.

30lb Mustang Injectors
NO safc
Hahn's FPR

about the same? can i push 11psi on it????? or should I stick with 9-10psi until i get the afc.

I don't feel the need to start another fuel pressure boost question.

Just set the static pressure to ~40psi. I don't know how the cartech works w/ the rise ratio so I can't answer that part. But they are definately good for 11psi.

I think it's 12:1, and i was thinking about 32-38psi static, i just want to make sure i'm not going to blow anything up since i'm still EGTless.

I have the 30lb injectors and an EGT and A/F gauge. Trust me you don't want 32psi static. That'll probably get you less than 20 psi idle. I have mine set at ~44 static and I run borderline lean at 10 psi.

what is EGT and safc and FMIC and what do you guys use to setup the static pressure, I reason I'm asking those questions is because I want to go turbo but have no clue what stuff I need with it.

the FMIC is better first of all its bigger ints in the front of the car it gets ram air and the fins are bigger so the iar condensates better so it cools the air better and you get better performance. Thant means you can race more or do more passes than a SMIC and this will flow more and you are going to be able to psuh more hp with it

right guys ???????????// emoji

DsM Power Soon to be turbo yahhhhhh

egt = exhaust gas temperature, it is good to have an exhaust gas temperature gauge. it helps to determine how lean you are running. you generally dont want to exceed 1600 degrees (max on most egt gauges). if you end up running really hot like that while racing, it usually means its time to give it some more fuel and/or turn down the boost. the safc is a "super air fuel controll". if you want to see pretty pictures and a description go to ebay and type in safc and hit return. the safc is awsome because you can tune your fuel curve at individual rpm points of the power band. very very very helpfull with tunning but also makes tuning alot more of a knowledge required experience. if you are doing just a standard "stage 2" style kit then you would be fine without a safc (you could do your tuning with the sfmu). and it would be best to go this route and not worry about the safc at first for a beginer like you and i. you can always add on a safc later on when you feel the need to spend a few hundred dollars. in the mean time youll have to worry about acquiring a sfmu, an intercooler, injectors, and turbo of course. along the way youll also need to collect the required gauges, whatever fuel lines and oil lines you will need, all the piping for the turbo/intercooler, an upgraded fuel pump, gaskets, flanges, nuts/bolts, and some other stuff that i probably havent even gotten for myself yet. good luck. and yeah to get ideas of what parts you will need, read all the previous posts that you can find in this turbo section, and type words in ebay to see what pops up.
