Ok heres my question if you have not figured it out already.
I know some of you do use your turbo timer and car alarm, but doestn this involve some pretty complicated wirring?
Now the question is If I get an alarm with remote start could I turn the car off get out lock it and then start it again to do the turbo timer function? or is the whole point for it not to turn off at all? I do want an alarm, my current one got messed up. But I am also turbo , so why not kill 2 birds with one stone? I can do most of the wirring myself , im pretty good at that , and I can just use the harness off the old alarm. What would you guys do in my situation? I can also get a self arming alarm and all so that it arms after the turbo timer shuts off the engine, my main concern is the whole engine off/on thing which is why its posted here and not the audio section. Please give me some input on this guys. thanks.

Usually when you buy a turbo timer you also have to buy a harness for it for easy installation. The harness just plugs right in to the starter harness. The alarm is a different connection (follow the installation instruction). If your manual, remote start is a little complicated to install and also unadviceable cuz' you have to bypass some wiring to make it work. Auto is an ease to do with the remote start. I have a turbo timer and an alarm. After boosting, I manually lock the door, let the turbo timer shut the car, then the alarm automatically arms after 30sec after shutting down.

So your saying to get both right?
For the alarm , get one w/o the auto start option? Yet make sure it has passive arming right? Or canI still use the auto start option?

Here is what I did...

I have the viper 550 with the remote start module. I have 2 keypads. One is programmed to start the car and let it run for 12 mintues before shutting off. (I use that in the morning when it is cold) The other one I have is programmed to run for 3 minutes. I use that when I stop driving. (as my turbo timer) When the car is running, if I push the button for the remote start it flashes the lights and unlocks the doors. Then I get out, arm the alarm and walk away. Get it? I hope this makes sence.
