Would you guys recomend getting a star stage 2 if my car has an AT. i think i remember reading somewhere that the turbo is too big and you wont get full boost until like 5k rpms... Anyway there is a chance of getting one real cheap so id just like your input..TIA

yeah it does spool slow, but run a 50 shot youll love it, but the turbo setup is great , one thing youll have to do is power brake, then turbo will try to spool, theres some guy running liek 14s with no internals, with an auto, thats all i can say hopefully someone else can comment on this , later

Nothing wrong at all with running a turbokit with an auto trans. Some benefits, actually - you can build boost on the line by powerbaking, and the way the auto downshifts lends itself to rapidly spooling your turbo when you hit it from a roll.

I dunno if Star is way to go. Plus you gotta remember if u dog your car be ready to break some axles in an auto. Just make sure you got some extra cash just in case. I dont wanna see you buy a turbo kit and not have much $ left over in case sh*t happens. My friend Jeff, Glacious on board, has an auto HRC Stage 2 Avenger and I believe he has broken his axles twice. Id either go HRC or better yet try to make a turbo kit w/ a smaller turbo so your boosting pretty much from second you get on it.

Ok im an auto gs 98 w/ 48k miles.
Had the turbo for a month now and on 2 500 mile trips.
Yes you can power brake and itll build up boost, if your brakes could hold your car before while doing this, they use to for me when i was n/a , now the turbo moves it like a biznat, its great. Yes if your just cruising and you floor it, youl rech boost faster than a manual, ive been in a boosted manual. From a line it does take some time to build though like up to 3-4k depending on the boost. When it goes it goes though and our trannys dont loose the boost once its in there. On the freeway youl beat anything short of 200hp. UHm, what else can I say? the only down side is we dont get to mess with our fuel setups, the odd thing im getting 300+ mi to the tank now , pre-trubo i was 220-260maybe 280. thats with boost and running rich as hell, whats up with that? better air/fuel mixture in non-wot driving?
